This episode of The Unstarving Musician’s Podcast features a conversation with country singer songwriter and friend Mira Goto. We became acquainted in 2014 whilst gigging around the South San Francisco Bay Area, where I had the opportunity to drum for Mira in a couple of different bands comprised of mutual friends.

I was highly impressed the first time I heard her guitar playing and voice; and that was during soundcheck before our first gig ever got underway. Mira’s the whole package, from musicianship to good looks and charm.

Our conversation takes place at an interesting time in Mira’s journey. She’s a young, albeit lifelong singer songwriter who made a daring move from her hometown Santa Cruz California to Nashville, in order to surround herself with other songwriters and likeminded music professionals. She’s doing and learning all kinds of things in the process. All in the DIY spirit of making it happen. I have high hopes for her in the uber competitive landscape of Nashville’s country music scene.
