My guest this week is singer-songwriter Megan Leigh. Megan recently went full-time with her music career time and we dig into how that transition has gone. Along the way we explore how she found the help and support she needed to start the journey, upped her game as a musician, discovered her songwriting process and found life on the road.
Megan grew up on a farm where she later converted a barn to hosting house shows and other events. This experience brought her into contact with local musicians which turned out to be the key ingredient to her musical journey. Throughout this episode you’ll hear Megan stress the importance of community and getting out of your comfort zone to push yourself creatively and find what works. We all come to music a different way and it’s through sharing that with our community, seeing what works for others and trying it, that we really grow ourselves.
